NTA cancel STM-Hello Nepal GSM license

Nepal Telecommunication Authority,NTA have cancelled the license of Nepal Satellite Telecom also known as Hello Nepal.

The license have been cancelled as Hello Nepal couldn’t pay the license dew fee. STM need to pay about 72 Crore to NTA as license fee.

NTA have given a timeline to pay a first installment of Rs 7 crore within Bhadra 1, but they havenot paid. The meetings held by NTA board members have decided to cancel and also have informed to Hello Nepal.

Nepal satellite telecom have got basic communication license to operate in rural areas of Mid Western, Farwestern and western region. Now STM telecom have 35 days to appeal for license to Nepal Government.

STM telecom have got 9 MhZ in 1800 band and 4.4 MhZ in 900 band.
