What is Express Wi-Fi by Facebook?

Express Wi-Fi by Facebook is the group of global internet connectivity initiatives by Facebook. As one of several programs under the umbrella of Facebook connectivity, it partners with mobile network operators and internet service providers to provide “fast, affordable, and reliable” internet access through public Wi-Fi hotspots. One is worldlink in kathmandu while another is providing service in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.

How Express Wi-Fi works?

After we connect to the public wifi hotspots area managed by partnered ISP’s, we need to signup with our mobile number. Then we will get the OTP-One Time Password and using that OTP, we can access the internet. There is time limit for the internet access so the wifi connected will be fast for end users while partnered ISP’s can easily manage the wifi hotspots.
