Hamro Patro, X in Registration After Nepal’s Social Media Ban

Hamropatro and X (former twitter) have been in came in contact with Nepal Government within 24 Hrs after government issued notice to ban 26 different unregistered social media.

Hamro Patro, one of the Nepal’s most loved and downloaded app designed for Nepali’s all around the world have came in contact in the same day Thursday 4th September to register as according to government. Many people were much curious about why Hamro Patro even didn’t register though it was founded by Nepali’s.

Also, Elon Musk X (former Twitter) have asked the government for registration process. And according to goverment, details have been sent to the X. Also, whenever they file the registration process, restricted will be uplifted.

Also, minister have told that, Meta suspected to have done politics by issuing content monetization to Nepali content creators at the last hour. It is true that, Nepal was not eligible country for content monetization but after government issued 7 day notice to register, than there might be coincidence but Meta have issued the tools for Nepal. However, it can biased to claim without hearing both party clearly.

But, as a layman, it can be assumed that Meta have played a politics at the last hour though if they want, it can be registered as TikTok and Viber have already registered in Nepal.

However, Many Nepali content creators have been benefited from the social media earning money.
