Supreme Court postponed Ncell Tax Judgement for third time

Supreme court of Nepal have again delayed to settle the Ncell tax case on August 22. Now, the case is rescheduled to August 26.

Supreme court postponed this Ncell capital gains tax settlement for third time in a row. Earlier, it was determined to give judgement in August 5.

Panel of Five Judges are looking on this case. Ncell have filed a case in Supreme Court after Large Payers Office have directed Ncell to pay Rs 39 Billion for capital gain tax. This tax was amount after Telesonoria sell the shares as Axiata acquired the telecom firm.

Ncell is the second largest telecom operator in Nepal after Nepal Telecom. Ncell is now offering latest 4G LTE services. It is also providing Broadband services to Corporate offices and businesses.

Ncell have been pulled in this tax fraudulent activities as they didn’t pay the tax of capital gains. However, Ncell have been always opposing to this as they don’t need to pay what government says.
